As part of the MINT-Make@thon "Energized for the Future," students in 9th grade and above tackle questions that are relevant to people of different generations. With the support of mentors, participants work independently in small teams to find solutions that are both scientific and creative.
How can we make the generation of electricity more environmentally friendly? Which energy sources will shape the future? And how can we store and use energy in a sustainable way? During the period from November 7 to 17, 2023, students* in grades 9 to 13 will develop their own visions for the future of the energy sector at the Siemens Stiftung's MINT Hub in Siemensstadt Square during "Make@thon - Energy Charged into the Future." Participants* will receive ongoing support from mentors as they immerse themselves in the world of science and innovation. This process could lead to outcomes ranging from the integration of renewable energy sources into urban environments, to innovative solutions for energy-efficient living and working, to a new energy-saving app. The project will be enriched by a wide range of workshops, inspiring lectures and a festive award ceremony. The Make@thon will take place daily from 1:30 p.m. in the Makerspace in A32 of Siemensstadt Square.
The Make@thon "Energy-charged into the future" is organized by the University of Osnabrück, sponsored by the Siemens Foundation and likewise supported by Siemens Professional Education.
