Berlin's locations of the future
The future lives from the implementation of today's ideas. Giving these ideas the space, for their growth and realization, is what the concept of the „Berliner Zukunftsorte“ - Berlin's future locations - stands for. There are eleven such innovation locations in Berlin - and Siemensstadt Square is one of them.
All these places think and shape the future of the interaction between science and business. Starting with the think tank in the numerous scientific institutions in Berlin, through to support from start-up organisations and start-up centres to technology centres and established companies.
Potential is bundled in Berlin's future locations, networking is made possible, synergies are created - products are generated from scientific findings. The goal: to find answers to current challenges, such as the climate crisis, promoting Berlin as a location for business, science and research and setting trends for future technological priorities.

This association is unique in Europe. It is coordinated by the business office “Zukunftsorte” and run by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprise. It is part of the community economic development ‘Improving the Regional Business Structure’ (GRW), which is jointly and equally funded by the federal and state governments. WISTA Management GmbH is entrusted with project implementation.
